13 Reasons Why
Hailey from "13 Reasons Why" and Margo from "Paper Towns" are kind of similar because, both girls go "missing" and leave behind clues as to why they left. For example a Hailey leaves behind 13 cassette tapes and a map for the individuals that were apparently a part of her suicide. Margo on the other hand left clues around town indicating as to where she might be.

I think that Margo only left clues behind because she wanted to be found. She talked about leaving so much, and left so often but always came back, that she liked how he chased after her and didn't let her stay gone long. I think that if I really wanted the attention and I had someone like me the way he liked Margo I would want to leave clues behind to, to make me feel wanted. He made her feel wanted, which is something her parents didn't do a good job of.
ReplyDeleteI definitely think that Hailey didn't take any responsibility for why she killed herself. She blamed her death on others when she was the person who took her own life. I believe all she needed was for someone to really talk to her and explain that she shouldn't let people get the best of her like that. She could have worked through her problems with these 13 people instead of ending her life and blaming it on the actions of people that upset her.
